Giant stove raises awareness of kitchen dangers
A travelling exhibition which uses over-sized kitchen appliances to enable adults to see these items and the dangers they present from a child’s perspective is visiting parents’ centres in Austria. Organised by Grosse Schützen Kleine (GSK), the ‘Giant Stove’ exhibition aims to prevent burn injuries in children.
"Since children's skin is much thinner and more vulnerable than adult skin, the consequences of scalds or burns are usually severe,” says GSK. “Burns and scalds are among the most painful, treatment-intensive accidents and unfortunately very often lead to scars.”
